Steven Blodgett was in the middle of a frisbee toss when he was approached by Maddie Olsen; as it turns out, both Steven and Maddie’s brother had the same type of rare amputation and she asked him about it.
This strange coincidence was compounded by another: Steven and Maddie happened to live just two doors apart. Their first conversation was the initial spark of their romance, and soon Steven asked Maddie out to the farmer’s market. Almost two years since then, they’re still going strong; they decided that they wanted their love to be the forever-kind.
Steven proposed on February 15th, 2025; the two will be married in the Taylorsville Temple on August 9th, 2025.
